Nothing could be more important right now in our rapidly, crazily, scarily globalising world, than a program that seeks out the stories that must be told. And tells them in an innovative way - up close, single person crews, personal stories.

A great opinion piece in the Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday about aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages suggests Qantas are pioneering in putting an Aboriginal language in their television advertising. I do applaud Qantas, they do fantastic things in this area - their Reconciliation Action Plan is excellent and they do a great job of promoting their many indigenous sponsorships.

But they are following SBS. We broadcast indigenous languages as a matter of course, part of who we are and what we do.
