Kurosawa remake 'High' on the cards

Variety reports that Mike Nichols is set to direct a remake of Kurosawa's classic 1963 thriller High and Low, and he's got a high-calibre team of collaborators on board; the adaptation is being penned by David Mamet and the film is backed by Martin Scorcese as executive producer.
