Cycling competes for the public's attention, through the media, with every other sport and form of entertainment. And with media attention comes sponsorship support, which in turn helps the sport grow.
Matthew Keenan remembers the humble beginnings of the Bay Crits and how its growing success has closely matched that of Australian cycling.
