The future of television is FREE and here now
Television networks working together to help audiences - unheard of!

Earlier this week industry heavies gathered in Canberra to announce the launch of a revolution in television as technical experts sweated behind the scenes to ready the technology to support it.
Freeview is coming in 2009.
(The inside word from the function – not Rove, not George Negus - all the pollies wanted a photo with the Bananas in Pajamas!)
Audiences will be better served in 2009 as a result of this cooperation between television stations. There will be more content on more channels (all free), and all with better quality pictures and sound. It will also be easier to FIND the content you are after with a state of the art electronic program guide (EPG).
The government has provided the hardware for digital TV, now the networks are coming good with the content. By 2013, analogue television will be a thing of the past and you will rank Freeview as a major technology innovation (as British audiences have recently done - read).
The future is here and it has quality digital sound and pictures.

News Timetable
I have both SBS and SBS2. My elderly mother likes to watch the Russian news in the morning. The timetable for SBS is incorrect this morning and there is no timetable for SBS2 on the internet, so that I could find the correct time so she can watch the Russian news. I wonder how many other ethnic groups miss out on a broader account of what is going on overseas.

Knocking sounds
For the past month we have been getting intermittent knocking sounds when viewing SBS. This sound comes and goes and does not happen on other stations so it is not our television. What can be done to stop this annoying noise

Picture but no sound
For about two weeks now I get picture on the SBS 1 &2 channels but no sound, very frustrating! Any clues as to my problem. I have analog TV with a Digital set top box. Absolutely fine until now.
