Sheer basterdry or arse-whoopin' Holocaust flick?
The first peek at Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds has set the blogosphere alight. And results aren't all that glowing.

In a cobbled courtyard smirky Leuitenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) sizes up he's motley crew of Nazi scalp hunters, as he briefs them on their mission.
They will, he says (in a ridiculous southern drawl), be "Doin one thaang and one thaang only: Killin' Natt-zis".
Hmmm... you don't get a second chance to make a first impression and talky Tarantino-dialogue aside, this isn't quite what we had in mind. Perhaps it's best to give it the benefit of the doubt, and wait for something stronger to go on.
Others haven't been as kind. Never shy of a hyperbole or two, Britain's The Guardian has wasted no time in branding it the worst film ever made - a big call by anyone's standards, particularly on the strength of a 100-second clip.
It's loosely based on the 1978 Enzo Castalleri grindhouse war film, in which a group of captured US soldiers get recruited for a commando mission.
Anyhoo, all wil be revealed in a few short months (it's being readied for the Cannes Film Festival), and local distributor Universal has is slated for an August 20 release.
If you can't wait that long, devoted fans who don't mind a few potential spoilers can peruse this alleged contraband copy of the script, complete with QT's kindergarten-grade penmanship on the cover.

Its a Tarantino film with Brad Pitt
If you don't like the first descriptive line, I don't understand why you would go and watch the trailer, read about it and I then be bothered to comment it, but free country, each to their own, I guess. I think it looks OK, I think it is a little be of a departure from Tarantino usual setting, this being a war film, it will be interesting to see how it comes out.

'Everything that comes out of Hollywood is crap anyway' might be a bit harsh, but it isn't too far off.

RE: Hollywood
"Everything that comes out of Hollywood is crap anyway." - an absurd comment. However, this feel does look particularly absurd and lame.
