The 55th Eurovision Song Contest will descend upon the city of Oslo, Norway, in a spectacular display of music, lyrics, fashion and culture.
The night that unites a continent in song will once again catapult one song and one musical act into the international spotlight.
Ever since Alexander Rybak's
With a Final and two Semi-Finals to be held in late May, SBS will once again be celebrating Eurovision, now firmly established as a favourite television event across Australia.
The Final can be seen on SBS ONE at 7:30pm Sunday May 30, preceded by two Semi-Finals at 7:30pm on Friday May 28 and Saturday May 29.
Charismatic RocKwiz host Julia Zemiro and ADbc's Sam Pang will once again be presenting the Australian broadcast, from the heart of Oslo.
This year SBS also features a Eurovision A – Z special to get you in the mood on May 22 at 8.30pm. As well as previewing some of the acts, Julia and Sam will look back over the history of the contest in all its glory. The hits, the camp acts, the fashion faux pas, the controversies – it's all here along with some well-known Aussies remembering their favourite EV highlights.
But wait, there's more.
This dedicated blog tracks all the Eurovision news in the lead-up to the Final and will host a full episode replay. You'll also find guides to all the competitors – just what you need for an EV sweep. To get your party started, Frankie magazine’s Daniel Evans will tell you what to wear, what food you need and more.
Once again Australia gets to vote on its unofficial winner with live audience voting and live chat to accompany the broadcasts.
This year SBS Radio is also getting in the spirit of the occasion with a dedicated SBS Eurovision channel on SBS Digital Radio 6. From May 1 it will be playing EV classics, culminating in a simulcast of the Final on May 30.
And of course there is a Twitter feed and a Facebook page
Norway wants the world to "Share the Moment" this year. We couldn't agree more!

its almost here again
Well...it's only 108 days away (the countdown on the official site says so) and although I will be there so won't ever have to hear the SBS commentary, I do hope its a better one this year. I like Julia myself, but Sam. Dear God. Is anyone more useless? Add to the fact the underhanded and offensive comments that he made during World Cup about Eurovision on Nova.fm. I should have complained then and there as I have now completely forgotten what he said. I'll be there give the job to me.

Credit to Julia
Credit to Julia for the way she nurse-maided the sadly unfunny Sam. Sam is harmless enough but that oh so painfully & immensely irritating "child-like" voice of his together with his woeful attempts at humour had Julia covering for him tactfully time & time again. Julia as always the professional ran rings around Sam but that was not her task. She was there to show us Eurovision.

Come on SBS, you can do better.
SBS picked the worst commentators for the Eurovision Song Contest. I hated having to put up with Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang irritating remarks. Get rid of these two.

Sorry but Julia & Sam get our vote, keep up the good work guys! If only Europe had a sense of humor & adventure, Lithuania were badly ripped off, not happy. Sod the BBC!

Not again!
I agree - Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang combined sorely lack the charisma to bring any charm to the overall Eurovision experience that Terry Wogan has brought for many years. I'm a huge fan of Graham Norton & was fuming that I couldn't experience the Eurovision with his commentary. It's a shame that SBS feel the need to add a local perspective to the event; the sharp wit from Wogan/Norton stems from being involved on a national level for the past 40 years.

Stop the whingeing! Eurovision is a great festival of FUN, and everyone knows it to be such. The fact that SBS provides this service for us over here in Aus. is terrific. THANK YOU SBS. We never miss the broadcasts.

Just to liven things up a bit, I reckon live feeds from Jason Akermanis and Sir Les Patterson would do your ratings at SBS the world of good.

Absolutely
Exactly. They were shockingly bad, and it was difficult to enjoy with the dull, uninspired commentary. Julia cannot work without a script by someone else. I was so horrified that they got the gig again. Give us Graham Norton. DISGRACEFUL indeed!!!!!!!!!
