Awards Shmwards (2)

My colleagues know how I feel about awards - with a shelf already groaning with gold and silverware, why bother collecting more? I'm always promising to enter awards competitions "just this year, and never again".

Except if you win.

Which fuels more awards entries, and you win again and so it goes.

It is well and truly awards season for SBS.

On top of our historic FOUR Logie wins (which was three more than Channel 9 and two more than the ABC, but who's counting) our amazing drama East West 101 has just won gold at the New York Festivals.

Then, for the second successive year, SBS has two out of the three finalists in the Television category at the Walkley Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards.

And news just in from our agency partners Razor that our SBS Brand idents have been awarded in the prestigious D&AD Book in London, the One Show Awards in NYC and at the New York (Advertising) Festival.

Telling six billion stories and counting is certainly rewarding and just maybe, we'll keep entering.
