The acts competing in the second Semi have some serious competition, but Turkey, Croatia, Ireland and Romania have the Favourites in their sights.

With Semi Final 1 out of the way, attention now turns to Semi Final 2.
The dress rehearsal took place yesterday, and this will be a much harder battle than the first Semi. Several of the bookies favourites are in this round including Azerbaijan, Israel, Denmark and Sweden.
With 10 places up for grabs from 17 contenders who will make the cut?
ROMANIA
Since entering in 1994, Romania's best achievement was in 2005 with Let Me Try finishing 3rd. A year later it was still a solid 4th.
Romania will hope to improve with Playing With Fire written by Ovidiu Cernăuțeanu who performs under the name Ovi, with Paula Seling. They duet together on this up-tempo number across a unique glass piano –well it's a glass construction with two keyboards at opposite ends.
But it gives the song a reason to remember it, which in the onslaught of EV songs isn't necessarily a bad thing. The song itself isn't quite so memorable.
Playing with Fire nearly got derailed before making it to Oslo when there were suggestions a Norwegian composer had written it, which would have breached the Romanian regulation that both participants and songwriters must all be Romanian.
True to its title it was fitting that pyrotechnics were used, a small fire appearing in their palms (although we've seen that old chestnut at Eurovision before). Good luck Romania!
Girl girl girl can't you see
What you do to me tonight
Boy boy boy if you're mean
I will start a fight tonight
You and I could try to stop
Uh boy till you drop
If we get together now
We'll burn this place down
You and me can't you see
We're playing with fire
Tell me now do you feel
This burning desire.
Don't stop make it rock
Is taking us higher
Could it be just a dream
Are you running away?
IRELAND
Ireland still holds the record for the most amount of Eurovision wins, with seven titles under their evergreen belt. But it was 1996 when they last had a win, failing to qualify in the last two Finals (Dustin the Turkey, we're lookin' at you).
And you can nearly always count on Ireland to send a ballad to Eurovision.
It's For You was written by Niall Mooney, Mårten Eriksson, Jonas Gladnikoff & Lina Eriksson and will be performed by Niamh Kavanagh.
Niamh gives a confident performance of this song, which feels like it's right off the Titanic soundtrack. Is that a pan flute we can hear? It builds after its bridge to a solid finish, following the safe path of a commercial pop song.
She has form at Eurovision having won in 1993 with In Your Eyes. You have to admire someone's ability to come back 17 years later to represent their country once more. If she actually won would it be some sort of record?
At rehearsal Niamh wore a long purple dress and for the last chorus, you guessed it, a wind machine was used.
Look in to these eyes
Hold on to these hands
Believe in this heartbeat
Though you're afraid that i might break
Just hold on
Shadows only haunt you
When darkness crowds your heart
So let the light of my love shine bright
When I cry it's for the lonely
When I pray it's for the lost and stray
When I love like there's no tomorrow
No more words to say
It's for you
CROATIA
The memorably titled Femminem will compete for Croatia with Lako Je Sve by Branimir Mihaljević, Neda Parmać and Pamela Ramljak.
Female trios are a rarity this year, so we hope this one makes it to the Final just to break things up a bit.
The three previously represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2005 Contest with the song Call Me - they get around. They also contested the Croatian final in 2009 but were defeated.
The song is a bit of a power ballad, and the striking girls look ravishing in their short skirts with extra trains. Expect them to win a lot of votes from male viewers.
Croatia's best placing has been 4th on two occasions, with the last as far back as 1999.
Lako, lako je sve
Uvijek kad imam te
Vjeruj bilo gdje sam
Znam da tvoja jesam
To ti kaže sjaj u mojim očima
Lako, lako je sve
Jer ti ne ostavljaš me
Kad ti se ne smiješim
Znam da tada griješim
Ja sam samo
žena što se prepušta
TURKEY
Turkey's 2003 win with Sertab Ereners Every Way That I Can threw a bit of a curveball into Eurovision when for years afterwards many tried to mimic its Eastern sound. It was the country's sole win since joining EV in 1975. To their credit there have been a lot of strong finishes in recent years.
This year it will be up to rock band maNga with We Could Be The Same –the final song of the second Semi. The song is composed by maNga with Evren Özdemir, maNga, Fiona Movery Akıncı.
The band already has European MTV awards to their name, plus Turkish #1s and a performance at Wembley Stadium.
This one is a contemporary rock / pop song mixing guitars and pizzicato string. The performance will wind up the Semi Final with a bang via the inclusion of a Cyber Girl with a welder, pyrotechnics and flying sparks. Extra points for having a band onstage too.
You could be the one in my dreams
You could be much more than you seem
Anything I’ve wanted in life
Do you understand what I mean?
I can see that this could be fate
I can love you more than they hate
Doesn’t matter who they will blame
We can beat them at their own game
I can see it in your eyes
It doesn’t come as a surprise
I’ve seen you dancing like a star
No matter how different we are

Ireland
Although of Romanian background myself, I am not voting along nationalistic lines, having chosen to back Ireland instead as I absolutely *loved* their song and the performance. GO IRELAND! I actually think you're the best.
