The eastern suburbs of Sydney and Melbourne used to be home to Australia’s richest postcodes, but with the onset of the resources boom, things changed.

This year’s census data has backed that up.

Economists at CommSec took a closer look at the numbers, to reveal the wealthiest territory in each state and territory.
