Okay. So the very English Sir Patrick Stewart sent out this Fourth of July tweet today, which featured him dressed as a cowboy and holding a guitar.

The tweet links to a video that is advertising a CD sampler of 'cowboy classics' sung by the good Sir himself.

Yes, that's right. This is a real thing. Not only is the video real - it is Patrick Stewart singing old cowboy songs, dressed as a cowboy and doing cowboy things, but the CD is real too, and you can actually buy it.

This was all a bit of a puzzle until you visit the official website, and understand that Stewart has created the sampler to raise money for International Rescue Committee, a charity that helps crisis-affected families across the world.

The CDs have sold out, so all there is to do right now is to watch the glorious weirdness that is a video of Sir Patrick Stewart singing American cowboy songs.
