New team for Haussler and Lancaster

Australian duo Heinrich Haussler and Brett Lancaster will be riding for the merged Garmin-Cervélo team in 2011.
The new venture confirmed the signing of six Cervélo TestTeam riders - Haussler, Lancaster, Roger Hammond, Andreas Klier, Daniel Lloyd and Gabriel Rasch - a day after Thor Hushovd announced where his future lay.
"Team Garmin-Cervélo’s roster will be strong and versatile,” team manager Jonathan Vaughters said.
“All of these riders bring a lot of experience to what’s already a great team. I’m proud of what we’ve done since 2008, and I’m excited for what we’ll do in 2011.”
With USA rider Tyler Farrar Garmin's leading sprinter, Haussler will focus his campaign on the classics next season.
“Most of the classics group is still together and next year we can do some real damage,” Haussler told Cyclingnews.
“There are no problems expected with Tyler, not at all. He's an easy guy to get along with. At this stage in my life, I realise that I'm not really one for the sprints. I might go for the green jersey at the Tour, but the classics are really my main goal.”
Haussler is disappointed to see Cervélo TestTeam wound up at the end of the season but is looking forward to getting back in to racing after an injury lay-off - a knee problem ruling him out of Australia's 2010 Road World Championship team.
“It's a shame that such a good team has already come to an end,” he said. “But teams come and go. It wasn't expected.”
“I've been back on the bike training for two weeks now, and expect to race again this season, if all goes well."
