Emma Pooley wins gold for Great Britain

British cyclist Emma Pooley has scored the biggest win of her career, taking out the time trial on day one of the world road championships.

Pooley clocked 32 minutes and 48 seconds over the 22.9km course at Geelong.
German star Judith Arndt was 15 seconds behind in second and New Zealander Linda Villumsen was less than a second further back in third.
Pooley won the silver medal in the time trial at the Beijing Olympics.
Shara Gillow surprisingly was the top Australian finisher in eighth place at her first world titles, while Vicki Whitelaw was 18th and Alexis Rhodes was 19th.
Cycling legend Jeannie Longo-Cirprelli of France finished fifth at 51 years of age.
