Skoda will continue on as sponsor for the Danish team Saxo Bankthroughout 2009.

Skoda has decided to extend the contract with Team Saxo Bank and theCzech company will continue on as sponsor for the Danish teamthroughout 2009.

“We're very happy to extend our contract withRiis Cycling for the 2009 season. It was an easy decision with all thefantastic results last year. We're looking forward to the coming seasonand we're also exited to be a part of the new Team Saxo Bank. Thissponsorship is very much in tune with the values, which Skoda standsfor and is a great extension of the Skoda Factories' deep involvementin professional cycling sport,” says Marketing Director Peter Lorenzen.

“Ourpartnership with Skoda has lasted for a long time now and we'reextremely happy to have them on board in 2009 also. We've gotten toknow their products really well and both the sports directors and ourstaff are extremely satisfied with the cars. Skoda has provided us withan impeccable service and we look forward to another great season withgreat cars,” announces Bjarne Riis.

In 2009 Team Saxo Bank's vehicle fleet consists of 12 Skoda Octavia and a Skoda Superb.
