The day after the men’s Olympic road race champion has been crowned the women will take to the roads for their chance at Olympic glory.

67 riders will complete the 140km race, starting from the The Mall in central London.

The women will follow the same course as the men but will complete only two laps of the Box Hill circuit before before the riders head north through Leatherhead, Esher, Kingston-upon-Thames, Richmond Park and back to The Mall for the finish.
