Armstrong to race Milan-San Remo

Organizers for the Milan-San Remo race have named competing teams whileconfirming the participation of seven-time Tour de France championLance Armstrong.
RCS Sport announced that Armstrong made the commitment in a phone call with race director Angelo Zomegnan.
Armstrongwill be supported by Radioshack teammates Daryl Impey, Markel Irizar,Geoffroy Lequatre, Dmitriy Muravyev, Gregory Rast, Sébastien Rosseler& Tomas Vaitkus.
The Belgian Quickstep team of Tom Boonen,who finished 15th in 2009, will arrive at Milan-San Remo with a strongclassics team comprised of Carlos Barredo, Sylvain Chavanel, DriesDevenyns, Jerome Pineau, Matteo Tosatto, Marco Velo and MaartenWynants.
Boonen has shown recent good form with a stage win in the Tirreno-Adriatico and is considered one of the pre-race favourites.
TheMilan-San Remo is the opening single-day classic of the cycling season,and at 298 kilometres it is one of the longest races of the year.
