The fiercely Islamic Republic of Iran, next door to Iraq, is probably
the last place you would expect to find a community of Jews openly
practising their religion.
Iran's President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, is, after all, one of the
world's most vocal Holocaust deniers.
His vehement foreign policy is
that Israel has no right whatsoever to exist. That said, Iran's Jewish
community happens to be the largest in the Middle East, outside of
Israel itself, that is.
