Musharraf's Last Stand?

It's a turbulent time for Pakistan.

The widespread mourning for assassinated politician Benazir Bhutto has ended, just in time for electioneering to begin ahead of the country's controversial mid-February elections.

Dateline's David O'Shea is in to gauge the mood of the people, and he finds massive discontent with President Musharraf's rule.

O'Shea mixes with a group of lawyers, incensed by Musharraf's order to arrest the Chief Justice. They stage a street protest but end up getting tear gassed.

They retaliate by throwing rocks and the police respond in kind. O'Shea is caught up in the violence.

It's this volatility that has many people worried about what will happen in the days following the election, particularly if Pakistanis unite against Musharraf's rule.

Watch David O'Shea's report and see George's interview, from the same edition of Dateline, with Pakistani cricketer turned politician Imran Khan.
