On November 1 & 8 Dateline reported that detention camps in Sri Lanka were holding 300,000 Tamils displaced by the conflict there.
In July the Sri Lanka President had put the number of people in the camps at over 300,000.
By early November, the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees said about 163,000 remained in the camps.
In late November, Reuters reported that the number had been reduced to 127,000.
