SBS Dateline | Race Against Time

When news broke on Monday (Australian time) that Osama Bin Laden had been killed in Pakistan, a fast response was needed from the Dateline team to report on the worldwide reaction in the following Sunday's program.

Presenter Mark Davis was sent to the United States to host the show, co-presenter Yalda Hakim was diverted from Libya to Egypt and video journalists Aaron Lewis and Evan Williams, who are based in New York and London, went out to get local reaction.

Executive Producer Peter Charley tells Researcher Donald Cameron about the huge logistical operation across different timezones to get everything arranged, filmed and edited in time, with the help of Researcher Melanie Morrison, Production Coordinator Claudianna Blanco and the rest of the Dateline team.
