Six months on from the earthquake that claimed 181 lives, the New Zealand city of Christchurch is torn between despair and hopeā¦
Despair over the people and buildings that have been lost in the disaster, and the slow progress of insurance assessment and rebuilding.
And hope that the community is pulling together to build a better city, with ironically a huge boost to the economy from the reconstruction work.
David Brill reported from Christchurch and nearby Lyttelton in the days immediately after the quake, and he returns to find local people still wrestling with some very raw emotions.

INTERACTIVE MAP - Navigate around the map of Christchurch, showing how one side of a street might be in the green 'rebuilding' zone, while the other side of the road is in the red 'no rebuilding' zone.
REPLAY - David first visited Christchurch for Dateline in the aftermath of February's earthquake - replay his story, Darkest Day, look at our earthquake photo gallery and read a factfile about why it was so devastating.
NUCLEAR FAMILY - Last week, Dateline returned to the scene of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, where families living near the devastated Fukushima nuclear power plant are struggling to continue with daily life.
