Divine Mission

The next United States Presidential election is still over a year away, but there’s no doubt the Republicans’ campaigning has already begun… and one candidate is attracting extremes of both adoration and outrage.

David O’Shea follows rising Tea Party star Michele Bachmann in Iowa, where she’s preaching a strong Christian agenda of fighting abortion and gay rights, as well as promising to cut taxes, social services and Obama’s healthcare reforms.

There’s no doubting the enthusiastic support of her followers, but elsewhere there’s outrage at a candidate who claims to have had a divine vision of the future sent to her by Jesus Christ.

It’s a political war of words that’s only just beginning.
