Nalan Al Sarraj and her friends look like any normal teenage girls - planning a night out and what to wear - but in conservative Gaza City, they stand out from the crowd.
And that’s exactly what they’re aiming to do as part of a new generation of Gazans, hungry not only for the trappings of the West, but also for political change.
Dateline features a report from French filmmakers, 416 and Sable Rouge, who went to meet the sisters and found out that they’re not alone in speaking out.
The report also includes the band, DARG Team, which is building up a following of young political activists with its Arabic rap.
There’s no doubt it’s the internet and social media that are making it easier than ever before to get their message out, but the changing face of Gaza isn’t pleasing everyone.
WATCH - Apologies, but this story narrated by Victoria Strobl is no longer available to view for copyright reasons. You can however still read the transcript.

PALESTINIAN UN BID - The Palestinian Territories are bidding to be recognised as the 194th member state of the United Nations - get the latest on the story in a special section of the SBS World News Australia website.
