Away from the commercialised hype surrounding the Games in London, Amos Roberts has an uplifting story of Olympic spirit in rural England.
He reports from the town of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, which has spent years preparing to host the Rwandan Olympic team from east Africa.
They’re ensured a rapturous welcome as they arrive for two weeks of pre-Games training, with the town turning out in force to see their adopted Olympic heroes.
And the ties that are forged between the two very different communities will undoubtedly outlive the Games.
