George has stopped listening to his guests. His approach to the interview with Naomi Wolf is another example of this. Within minutes, and misquoting the name of the book, he has the woman 'defending' herself. It was as though George had just had a discussion about it at the pub and come to certain conclusions. He started the interview with those conclusions. As a viewer who had not read the book in question, I had no idea what the book was about after the interview. Is it possible for George to (a) ask a question that might illuminate the topic (b) want for the subject to answer (more that 15 seconds) and (c) not give us his little glib cliched summary at the end.

Many millions have died for the freedoms that are daily being thrown on the scrap heap. Get your finger back on the pulse or risk driving more free minded people in search of truth in journalism to the WWW.

"..but the book has had no reviews, no critics...". that, George, is very much part of her eloquent argument.Naomi handled herself well, i thought. Who dictated this interview approach? I am troubled more today than yesterday.

As a long term admirer of George Negus's intelligence and sensitivity as a broadcaster and interviewer, i was really disappointed with his tone and attitude to Naomi Wolf. Whatever Wolf's faults her discussion was very interesting and relevant to Australia as well.Your interview made me more ready to hear her than i would have previously been, which was not I'm sure your intention.

Agree with most posts here, Naomi is totally on the money, and the media are failing worldwide to highlight this deconstruction of democracy.

Hi George, I haven't read Naomi Wolf's book, but she is right when she says that America is in danger. If Mr Obama becomes the next President of the USA , YES it will not only be the death of America but the end of America.

The fact that her book is shunned by MainStreamMedia is a clear sign that she is right on the money, that she exposes the current government for what it is. Her book is a clear threat to those in power. I do feel Naomi is misguided with regard to Obama, he is CFR and no different from Bush,Hillary or other CFR sponsored candidates, lesser of the 2 evils is still evil. Perhaps Naomi is afraid of saying the name Ron Paul, the one and only candidate running under the Republican banner (but totally ignored by MSM and almost denied existence by the GOP).

I'm very pleased that Naomi Wolf received some air time. Unfortunately this is too little too late as the media have completely ignored these issues for too many years. It is also probably too late to stop this political onslaught as the only candidates left in the race for presidency (McCain, Obama, Clinton) are all globalists who belong to the Council on Foreign Relations and are continually pushing for the establishment of the North American Union (and new currency, the Amero). Good luck to all in the planned social and economic depression we are about to experience.
