Disgusting!!

Cambodian Government should keep in mind that making Cambodia look like any other country (western) it will destroy what is so fascinating to tourists! If they want to line there back pockets then they should protect the people, the culture and prohibit development like this!!

Bring justice to poor Cambodian it depend on those foreign countries

All the foreign aid to Cambodia should make it accountable. Those foreign countries who give aid to Cambodia government should make inquiry and monitor of their aid. They the only one who can put pressure on Cambodian government and bring some justice to those poor Cambodian and innocent children who had lost their land, home and their dignity. If those foreign country really want to help those poor Cambodian they should setup an organisation to monitor their aid. I hope my opinion count. Thanks

Rape of a country

Great the issues were brought to a wider audience. It's happening here nearly everyday by a kleptocratic shadow government, that is paid for by international aid. And the NGOs are seemingly not interesting in opposing the corruption, theft and rape of a country they operate in and spent a good time in their gated communities and enjoy their time and pay ...

Greed

It is so sad to see what the corrupt Cambodian government are doing to its own people all in the name of Money. If any country needs a change in government, it is Cambodia!! The current government is a disease that manifests what is otherwise a beautiful country.

Thank you for publicizing the powerlessness of the poor in Cambodia over against those who have the power to make a grab for land.

They are killing the lake!

Why can't they get land somewhere because a lake is a natural resource that is God-given and to fill it up is just unconscionable! Plus these people have been living there for generations and they are literally driving or evicting them away. We should campaign worldwide to get attention to this. Especially to the poor Cambodian people!

Magnificant report David, well done. The corruption at Boeng Kak and elsewhere provokes only token complaint from the international donor nations – including Australia – who prop up the Hun Sen regime. As during the Pol Pot years, under-the-counter connections with China are also playing a major role . Now watch as Hun Sen tries to shut down NGOs because the direct financial contributions from real people outside Cambodia don't follow pathways he and his mates can get their hands on.
