Albinos

I just want to say I am writing my PhD dissertation on the topic right now. I have heavily researched it. I am proud to say there is a bill in congress H.R.1088 that is seeking to address the atrocities being done to albinos in Tanzania. A canadian agency Under the Same Sun (UTSS) is there rescuing albinos and keeping them safe in camps.. Pleae make donations to Peter and Paul Ash the albino brother's who Direct the agency UTSS (under the same sun). There is a web site for UTSS onthe web.

Albino Children

When viewing this program I was utterly astounded, people eat parts of our beautiful animals, some while they are alive and skin animals while they are still alive so the fur can look better, now this, we are so barbaric, to actually believe that eating a Human Albino helps anyone is way beyond what my mind can fathom, I have to say this has really effected me, a week later and the pictures are still in my mind, life holds some disgust for me I am afraid, why do they get away with all this.

Tanzanian Charity Drive

The AFA Committee sent a letter to the President of Tanzania to present support for people with albinism but, we would all love to be able to help more. Skin cancer is another major problem for people with albinism in Africa. AFA are running a charity drive asking people to donate sun protection items for people in Tanzania. AFA will act as a collection point for donated: sunscreen, hats & sunglasses (see State Branches via website) & then send them in bulk to Ms Mumbi Ngugi in October 2009

Just a teen's opinion

Im still in my teenage years and out of pure interest i wished to see this website to get some REAL news... not like the basic news on the mainstream channels when i hear about Paris Hilton. That is not news! When i read about this, it shocked me. Ive never heard of this going on in our world today and i am grateful to finally be informed of some of the concerns facing people in other countries. Sometimes things may not get through to people but this shattered my heart. We are all equal humans!

Lauren Smith's anger

I find it strange that a desire to help someone -in a small way - is the cause of your disgust and anger. Many posters here also express the desire to help/contact the kids / families featured in the story. For some reason the program does not want to give details. Are you also angry and disgusted with all charity organisations? Many aim only at some specific causes and sadly can't help the whole world. Can you? When you live in fear that someone will chop off your limbs do you need help?
