Shame on the UN

I watched this program when it went to air and was disgusted that the UN has not moved these people after promising to relocate them. Every child is born with lead poisoning and the UN do not see this as reason enough to relocate the Roma? What is wrong with the world? I wonder what the celebrities who speak of the UN in such a praising tone think of this? Are they aware, do they even care? An organisation that is breach of its own laws and amendments does not deserve praise and endorsement.

Think outside the box

Where has creativity gone in this world. Refugee camp for more than one year is a joke as a shelter. People have to think outside the box. Create a new country for this people, a place where they can be a citizen of a free country. If they want to go back to their country they have right to do so. In the meantime they can earn money, upgrade skill, learn languages. They should have the right to choose. Long time ago our ancestor was creative enough to create America, then Australia.

ethnic cleansing

You failed to mention that when the Serbians controlled Kosovo the Roma had rights and lived in houses as was shown in your program.Since the Albanians took control with the help of NATO there has been ethnic cleansing on a large scale of all peoples who are not Albanian. The whole situation in Kosovo is to have a compliant government made up of former terrorists so the United States can build the largest military camp in Europe.Meanwhile Kosovo is run by a narcotics government.

wealth

You must understand that those in power need somthing to deal with as an explanations for their huge salaries. But, this dont mean that they have to do anything else but trying to make excuses for doing nothing. As long as they can cling to their salaries their world is just fine. Has anything been done to give them a new home yet?

To Whom It May Concern at the Dateline Program - I am just wondering if there has been any progress on moving the Roma people to new homes which are safe and healthy for them? Thanks for the program and for this film in particular. I trust that these gentle people will be rescued soon. My email address is - genevieveforde@yahoo.com.au Best wishes - Genevieve Forde

Have you ever been left apart because you are different? Yes, even left to die? This happens unfrtunately every day and everywhere! The politicians do not care, only we who have real hearts and souls we can help those people who are SLOWLY DIENG! 10 years, can you imagine???

outrage at U.N.

I shake with rage at the thought of the U.N. and their preening spokesmen who have ignored the plight of these Roma people for ten years - as they also ignore the plight of millions especially in Africa. Surely they show the height of hypocrisy and misuse of funds as they pontificate from their golden towers in U.N. buikdings.
