The situation in Afganistan is not improving why because just Veitnam the US fail to win hearts and minds they try and buy eligencys with$and rebuilding projects only to get offside with a local warlord when they approve something againist there wishes. The US even undermine Pres Karzi by saying hes corrupt when things are not improving for them in there War,further undermining the Countries stabilty causing more problems for the people there by taking away there confidence in there Govenment.

What the Afghani people think

I talk to a young Afghani male who i must admit is influenced by the Taliban, but they really think 9/11 was an infiltration of mossad and that the Israelis did 9/11 to cause America to attack the muslims and i must admit alot of things he says do ring true,he has sent me alot of material that i've never seen in the western media especially the amount of dual citenzship holders of Israel/America very high up in the American govt.Check the site www.911missinglinks it's an eye opener

"escalation"

If protecting the Afghani people from the Taliban were an effective strategy then why after doing this for so many years are the Germans thinking of increasing their troop numbers for counter insurgency purposes?

Risky

Building this road is very risky business, aside from the fact the U.S. government is funding the project, it will open up a whole new fight for dominance over the road between U.S. forces and the Taliban. Obama will probably have to send off more troops to help overseas, causing more civil unrest from anti-war demonstrators.

world islamic state

The last world Islamic state went bankrupt buying Amercan guns to use against Russians who at the time were tearing apart the World Islamic States genocidal slave empire. Todays muslims are much weaker and disorganised than the Turks ever where. In most western countries the simple action of cutting off welfare payments would starve out most of todays western muslims who see themselves as slaves of allah and soldiers of Allah. Don't make the West angry. You wouldn't like us when we are angry

The PrevailingTaliban

The modern West has forgotten the famous saying of Napoleon that the Islamic armies cannot be defeated by military means and it never will be. The West fails to realise that the more salt they pour on top of the wound the stronger and meaner the Muslims become, eventually leading to the re-establishment of the World Islamic State, this phenomenon only works for the Muslim community. Afghanistan is that wound that the Muslim body feels and it will heal by breaking the backs of the Neo-Romans.

Afghanistan Isolation is it's worst enemy!!! not the Taliban not the NGOs or the Western Forces.

Having worked and lived in Kabul for for over a year 2005/2006. When I ws there I saw great construction efforts to reduce Afghanistans isolated situation. Building bridges to the Northern states of Tajikistan improving roads and infratstucture. Cellphones, schooling for kids, the list goes on. To just dop that all and let it all go to hell is absolutely nuts. Remember the Soviets did. I loved your report from the PRT at Gardez very interesting until your reporter dubs over comments. Pity realy
