Response to the responses to my comment
Anne of Maribyrnong and Grant from Melbourne.... Anne, I'm glad tranquilizers are working out for you. For many others, these drugs destroy their lives. For all persons, taking them long term causes brain damage. And to Grant, the use of tranquilizers by force is a human rights atrocity. It's not bizarre to point this out. It might seem so to you, but for survivors of these atrocities, it's neither a joke nor bizarre. Never forget, this Suryani, has drugged many people without their consent

hearing voices a new way of working
We are running hearing voices support groups based on work that started 20 years ago in Holland by a social psychiatrist called Marius Romme. Research has found that 20% of the worlds population hears voices only 4% of that population uses mental health facilities. His research has found that hearing voices is linked to trauma and that the voices are directly linked to the persons life experience. They can be emotions that have been surpressed. Intervoice is the international hearing voices site

Donation process
I have made a $100 AUD donation to help this needy cause. If you also wish to help go to the following web address http://www.suryani-institute.com and make a donation via PayPal. I hope that all donations will be honoured with a receipt as this will indicate the "charity" is legitimate. My very best wishes to Professor Suryani..you are doing a wonderful job.

Unbelievable, tragic and on our doorstep
Lets get behind Prof Suryani and lobby the drug companies that make billions of dollars - in a time of great change to our world we need for all companies to have a conscience and put back into the world. I believe a donation of drugs to Prof Suryani to do her work along with cash to keep the Institute running. How do we do this - We need to form a working committee in each of our States, instead of this story just slipping into the abyss this is a wake up call for all humanity.

Making a difference
Congratuations to Dateline for drawing attention to this situation and the brilliant work of Dr. Suryani and her team of dedicated workers, making such a difference to the lives of these people. It puts the Australian mental health system into perspective - even with (no doubt at times) its major failings. I hope that the Suryani Institute for Mental Health will receive much funding to continue their work.
