Extra biased reporting
McNeil has given no evidence of presenting anything else than a palestinian perspective. A simple question she could ask herself is why the situation is as it is today. Once she can approximate an answer, her reporting will benefit from a maturer and more sage perspective. At the moment her report stands as another bit of anti-Israeli propaganda. Extra judicial killing?? Nah, just extra-biased reporting.

Israel - International Criminal Court? and US complicit?
Fascinating story! Been following US State Dept Facebook threads re: Israel Palestine. State Dept funds Israel $30 billion in armaments over 10 years...does this make them an accomplice to State sanctionned murder/assassination under international criminal law? I don't understand how anyone can argue that Israel is justified in assassinating others...whatever happened to international criminal law? 'innocent until proven guilty', impartial jury, witnesses, penalties other than death????

THE TRUTH
Why do the propagandists protest so much? Could it be that they (Gavin, Lori, David et al) just cannot handle the truth? The Zionist militia gangs running the country (Israel & the occupied territories) holding millions of innocent Israelis and Palestinians at ransom have decades of blood on their hands. End the occupation, end the siege, end the humiliation and ethnic cleansing programs and peace will surely follow.

Israeli Report
The threats of constant rocket attacks, bomb threats and civilians killed? As if it is only the Zionist Israelis live under the threats. The Palestinians don't live in constant threats, it is their daily lot! Compare the Israelis killed with those of Palestinians civilians killed over the past six decades. Why is God not able to secure the land (number of times now), if HE had promised it to Israelis in the first place? Listen to Helen Thomas and 'get the hell out of there' and let humanity live in PEACE!

Clean living Israeli Criminals
As ever the justification for murder is the victim status of the poor oppressed Israelis. For every 1 Israeli killed (those running the occupation), approximately 1000 Palestinians (the occupied) have been killed, mainly civilians. It is about time the propagandists stopped bleating about imagined threats to the poor oppressed Israelis and started to look to the multitude and manifest crimes against the Palestinians.. 'Oh Vey, they hate us... What have we ever done to them..."

Self Defence George
Negus at the end of the show draws a moral equivalence between those that send suicide bombers into restaurants and busses and those that target the people who do so. If Australian Intel agencies had known a few weeks ahead of time about the Bali bombings and knew that they could prevent those bombings by knocking off the operations chief of the cell, would they have been justified in doing so? I think (almost) every Australian would have expected them to do it! Come on George, get real!

A good report
Thanks Ms McNeill and SBS for the report. I agree with Alistair Crooke: "Simply killing people that you tick off as the bad men...is simply a program of political killings...[H]as it set back Hamas? No, it hasn't. They simply get replaced and generally the history is they get replaced by people who are more radical, not less radical." Secondly, it raised the concern of the potential illegal arrest of Ameer Makhoul a Palestinian-Israeli. Let us see the evidence.

Compelling reporting
Thanks to Ms McNeil for a piece which I could not turn my eyes away from. Thanks also that you played a straight bat, reporting without taking a side. This was even more compelling as you could really see the mindsets of the people on both the Lebanese and Israeli sides, one seeing an existential threat the other a millenial enemy (don't ask me what the answer is, it is 'way beyond me). Congratulations to SBS and Dateline for journalism that you just do not see anywhere else.
