Female Infantice and Gender Identification Feticide
We work with indigenous Indian organizations in this region (Dharmapuri to Madurai) to not only rescue unwanted girl babies but build long-term solutions that will bring value to her life and thus change the culture. Thanks for the report. Awareness is the first step!

Angels of mercy
It is a pity that such cruelty exists as a result of poverty and cultural mal-practices in today's world. However it is heartening to see that such angel-souls still also exist in this .... world! May be there is still some hope for humanity! Thanks dateline for lifting our spirits>

Solutions found elsewhere in India
Further to the north of India in Bhagalpur they are planting mango trees at the birth of a daughter. The daughters and trees are nutured over the years and sales of the fruit provide for a dowry. A wonderful solution to a terrible problem. Read the story http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10204759 These poor mothers want to keep their daughters no one should suffer the agony of the woman whose babies had been killed or taken away .

Heart wrenching
Hi Yalda,Thank you for your inspiring and heart wrenching reporting. It still surprises me that in this Century we are still suffering from such social tragedies as foetocide and the unbalanced population problems from cultures favouring male children. Where is their love ? The innocent children involved and the parents who go through such agony makes me feel so grateful to be in this fortunate country. How can I donate &help? Would love to get in contact with these amazing people with BIGHEARTS

Touching
I was truly touched by this story and it has reinforced my desire to adopt a child one day. I do recognize however that the most important part of adoption is doing best by the child AND its parents/family - and that means giving in-country support so that the birth parents have the means to raise their own children; not just by picking one and saying 'ive helped - all done'. I would love to offer my support to Relief Projects to make this possible in the longer term.
