Thank you for this report. Dame Daphne and her staff do an amazing job with so little, it would be great if everyone fostered some babies. At the moment I have 4 babies and cant wait to return to Kenya to see them again! Janet nice to see another local being interested.

Chiang Mai Ellies

Linda you can volunteer at Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai. Google it. I went and worked there for 1 week and only wish I had stayed longer. Best experience in my life. I also visited the orphanage in Nairobi as said in previous comment. I loved it and have 2 foster babies there.

My favourite animals

I have been fortunate to visit Eastern Africa many times in the past and fell in love with the elephants from the start. Their family unit amazed me - and still does. I'm sure they're smarter than humans but wish they were smart enough to figure out how to avoid the poachers. What a wonderful lady Dame Daphne is - the gods have a special place for people like her. Long may elephants live in peace and safety. (my next favourites are cheetahs!)

I am a sponsor of two babies and am very proud to be involved, these people do a fantastic job, with minimum funds so anything that can be spared please consider a sponsorship, you get emails each month on how your baby is doing and you are contributing to a wonderful cause. Thanks for the show guys , love it

volunteer to help the elephants

I am an elephant "spirit"- I love elephants- my house is decorated with them- but what I want to know after seeing this dateline episode is if Dame Daphne Sheldrick would be interested in taking me as a volunteer at her shelter to help in what ever way I can "hands on"- I have no money to give but I can give my time and effort -I would merely requre accoommadation in return for the help I would be prepared to give to help these wonderful animals. Would this be possible?
