Let Wisdom Prevail!

It requires the softer hearts to absorb the intrinsic beauty of the teachings of the Holy Quran. A certain verse reads "if you kill one person it is as if you have killed the entire mankind". How can anyone think of going to heaven by killing people in cold blood. The irony is in this case the killer and the killed both are claiming martyrdom. Wo will go to heaven, the innocent victim or the barbaric murderer? We'll let God judge on this one?

To believe or not to believe, to fear or not to fear

This provides Atheists with more ammo why they shouldn't believe in God. A person's belief got to do with that person and God(s). No one else should be involved. Suggesting a direction is fine. But forcing someone to follow one's direction is absurd. Why didn't they do that during Suharto regime? If they think they're right, they shouldn't fear Suharto. Why don't they have branches in non-Muslim provinces such as Bali, NTT & Papua? Fear the locals?

Are they worshiping the same god??

The hatred and violence has just become ridiculous, not just in Indonesia but all over the world. Its a case of I'm right, you're wrong therefore i'll kill you. The church did the same thing to those that believed the earth was round. What's changed since then?? Jew, Christian and Muslim all believe in a God who is just, compassionate and merciful am I correct? As far as I'm concerned anyone who acts without compassion, without mercy, without forgiveness is worshiping some other deity.

Love for All, Hatred for None

The Ahmadiyya community has been a source of hatred and punishment from extremist fanatics who fail to accept God's mercy and love towards this community. The Ahmadiyya community is flourishing all over the world, and is involved in many local, national and international projects helping mankind in general, regardless of religion or race. Someone should do a story about the true face of Ahmadiyyat and Islam, and how they believe in 'Love for All, Hatred for None', despite persecutions and hate.

need for tolerance

i think that since the indonesian guarantees religious freedom and tolerence, the Ahamdiyah should not be persecuted. The police and government should punish the fundamentalist mob instead of supporting it. I dont understand why the muslims always take it in their hands to punish other people. If they believe in the day of judgement, shouldnt they allow God to judge, reward and punish? They are contradicting themselves in my opinion.

Root of the problem

Look the only problem with ahmadiya is that they say they have there own prophet and they claim to muslims and all the other muslims except ahmadiya are non-believers and non-muslims. which is provocative for other muslims living beside them and that is the basis of an argument or confrontation. If they stop interfering in each other buisness then i think problem can be solved.

Glad Dateline has done this story

This is much more than a religious argument but really goes to the heart of a debate about what kind country Indonesian wants to become. I think it's important to add that the Islamic defenders front of who feature prominently in this story are a relatively small group whose leader has been jailed a number of times for acts of violence and the group have close links with the Indonesian police. They are seen by most Indonesians as thugs.

Jesus WAS the messiah!

"Ahmadiyah members controversially believe an Indian who lived in the late 19th century was the Messiah that Jesus and Muhammad promised would come." However, Jesus WAS the Messiah. Not only did he teach that he was, as the Gospels confirm, he himself confirmed his claim by a series of extraordinary miracles, the most extraordinary and important one being his Resurrection from the dead. Without a risen Christ, there simply would be no Christianity.
