Its so sad!!
It's so sad how someone could actually use animals as entertainment for other people and money. It is animal cruelty and i am definetely NOT a fan of it!! It saddens me to think people are using these creatures for 'good' but hurting them. I especially didnt like how they were chaining up the young monkeys and making themstand up like humans. It's not fair!!!!! D,:

End this torture
I despise what is happening to these animals in countries like this all over the world - I now refuse to travel as to see any animal used in this way upsets me too much. Thank you for exposing this inhumane practise on your program as without eduction, there can be no change. I beg all travellers not to buy into this, do not take pictures, do not give money - without the demand, maybe (and with a lot of help from tireless campaigners and the Indonesian Government) this cruelty will cease.

Monkey business should be no business
Seeing the juvenile monkey with its hands behind its back made my heart ache. No animal should be treated like that. Stories like these need to be in the public domain more so more people are aware in the hope we can put a stop to this. What can we do to re-educate these people and help them find another way of making money so the monkeys are left to be simply that, wild monkeys...

Too Cruel to believe
I am in tears after watching the torture the monkeys in Indonesia endure through such terrible traditional practices. I know these people are very poor, but it would be better for them to conduct tours into the jungle where the monkeys live naturally. Free the Bears is an Animal Organisation who raises money to stop the Dancing Bear Trade, $2,000 in exchange for the bear, and it worked. Sancturies took the bears in and they are looked after. They need employment opportunities to stop this trade.

Monkeys treatment in jakarta
I agree i felt sick watching the fear and pain as the little ones were hung by their necks also shut away in dark boxes with young ones feeding. Yes people are poor but the level of our society is judged by how we treat our animals. To stand by and not reacte to anothers pain especially animals who have no say or choice over where and who they go with and they have no voice except ours.We do need to speak up also find a way to assist with donations as how do we donate ??

More stories needed like this
Please do more stories like this Dateline, It disturbs me greatly that our mainstream media is focused on celebrity's, relationship gossips etc. And our Television shows are mostly mind dulling & numbing We all need to be informed every day of the violence against animals. Celebrities & the rich, I wish they would do more for the environment. Animal Beings all over the world need our help urgently. If I had the money, I would set up a an Eco tourist lodge with a rehabilitation center for them.

Barbaric behaviour
Very thankful that we have the RSPCA so my children won't witness such horrors. The Indonesian government must get it's act together to stop the barbaric behaviour towards animals. Well done on exposing this issue. My family certainly won't visit their country with this atitiude of exploitation of the vunerable. Hopefully the money our government spends on education in their schools will lead many out of the dark ages towards more enlightened attitude and better ways to feed their families!
