Great piece of journalism. Terrible tragedy. What is the situation in Australia? My understanding is that most teenagers are being vaccinated with Gardasil. If so, what is the mortality rate? I agree with the Bhopal hospital doctor - Western pharmaceuticals using Indian people in trials without their consent is a form of neo-colonialism.

Remembering the good old times

Bhopal was one of union carbidesdow chemicalspharmaceuticals, more noteable trials in india, not unlike their effort in supplying agent orange in vietnam.

Geoblocking

Tim, thanks for your comment. We try and geoblock as little as possible, but sometimes it's necessary for copyright or legal reasons. We do try and provide an alternative link if we have one. In this case, as the story originated with Al Jazeera, you can watch it on their website.

Vaccination

As far as I am concerned, vaccination is a dangerous fraud and an organised criminal enterprise dressed up as disease prevention. NEVER EVER VACCINATE A CHILD, OR YOURSELF!

experimenting on India

India is not alone in the experiments. Pensioners, disadvantaged, old, young, unsuspecting. We are being poisoned by fluoridation, through lies and trickery, without our concent. I'm disgusted, and don't trust the Gov. and many medical/dental professional.

Clinical trials are not under satisfactory control

This is tragic and disgraceful. The whole issue of clinical trials is unethical. The protocols are written by the pharmaceutical industry who manipulate so that the results are favourable for themselves. Investigators are not required to register planned group and sub-group analyses. If a protocol is discontinued the results don't have to be passed on to the regulatory authorities. But why are trials stopped? Because "there are difficulties". One 'difficulty' may be because patients die!
