Afghanistan without Foriegn Military Intervention Forces
If foriegn military forces leave Afghanistan it will probably return to the safe, hospitable country it was in the 1970's when Australian's drove their VW Combis through it on their overland trip to the UK. Afghanis want peace. They are not about to countenance again becoming a target for the US or NATO through the actions of an Al Queada rump of less than 100 operatives.

Wisdom from the past
Jim Molan is at odds with his colleague Alan Stretton who wrote in an opinion piece to The Australian (26MAY11) that the war in Afghanistan was unwinnable. Both should be aware of the words of Major General Frederick Roberts who asked in 1880 after the capture of Kabul:" Now that we have got Afghanistan, what is to be done with it?"
