How utterly objectionable was the program's final comment by its presenter, "Oo, but I don't fancy squirrel pancakes", or words to that effect. For goodness sake! The native wildlife of northern Australia for example is being decimated by cane toads. If somebody came up with a recipe that made these pests quite delicious would she still object?

Finally, a soft little story that said so much! Can you give us more of this, please? I'm sick of the rioting and the violence - yet, this story said as much about the UK headspace and social turmoil, but in the kindest possible way. Politics at its finest. Keep up the top work, Dateline!

Helping the Reds

Maybe instead of trapping and eating the greys memberships in the local gyms could be purchased for the reds. A healthy body fights infection better.

loved the reds

That's one of the cutest little programs I've seen all year. Loved it Dateline. I loved the fact that it's the old (indigenous) population fighting for the reds, and yet they don't seem to be able to see the connection. Very funny and really quite poignant.
