Just government
Libya needs a governmental system where people get to vote for the candidate of their choice every few years. Man made laws are not necessarily evil. Just because a group says they "govern in the name of God" does not mean they shouldn't have to face the ballot of the people every few years and risk the chance of losing government. Iran is run by mullahs who are able to denounce anyone who disagrees with them as being "against God." Such tyrants govern as they please, often lacking in justice.

Inequality and injustice
A comment for whoever wrote "Bitter divisions." Under traditional sharia law a woman who accuses a man of rape needs four male witnesses to prove it. How ridiculous is that? No witnesses means no proof. Worse than this - by her own words she has just admitted to having illegal sexual intercourse, the penalty for which (if unmarried) is 100 lashes..Now I ask any reasonable person, which system is unjust and evil - the Australian system of law for rape victims, or the sharia law system?

images of light, behind the veil
The taste of freedom in the west is purely illusory, once the free thinker crosses an arbitrary state boundarybureaucratic restriction in their thinking & creates a dissident image, easy for the people to see & understand, the state controlled media shuts it down. For the free thinking person there is no freedom in the vest.

Secular democracy or Sharia?
If the mullahs gain control of Libya there will be another dictatorship. Govt. by unchangeable "God given" sharia laws will create a state like Iran. Beware of any group which says it governs "in the name of God." Anyone who doesn't agree with the mullahs (who say they govern "with Gods laws and guidance") can be falsely accused, declared a "murtad" (apostate) and "legally" killed. A country which cannot separate religion from govt. will get recurring dictatorships.I wish they could understand!
