I live in Quilmes, it's not that bad + there's more to it than you suggest.
I am an Australian living and working in Quilmes, Buenos Aires for 9 months. Firstly, River Plate vs Quilmes is not a big derby game. River vs Boca is 'el clasico'. Having been to a number of the games, I must confess that it is nothing like the craziest of Aussie games. The fans are incredible. However, my friend who runs 4 of the stadium sound systems for 20 years tells me that it is the clubs who pay the fans. It is like a competition of fanaticism between the clubs. Interesting perspective.

I live in Argentina, and I am from Argentina. So I can understand Futbol in my country. And I am a Futbol 's fan. Futbol is like a religion for us. but Barra bravas is different. it is like a gangster in another countries. nowaday it is a problem with some football clubs. Chicago and Tigre was a terrible match. one man was killed by chicago fans. but it is a problem because the stadium wasnt security. the police is a big problem in Argentina too. they make violence every weekend.
