Bias

"Either we become martyrs or we defeat Assad." Does anyone in this country even know what a martyr is? Would hardly be giving this garbage a positive spin if they did.

Why do we hear no truth

Yesterday, for the first time, we heard of the Muslim Brotherhood's presence in Syria (the same Muslim Brotherhood which has everyone spooked about Egypt). Today it's suicide bombers. Yet typically this country's media fails to repeat the fact that it was a number of these so-called 'martyrs' who killed 88 Australians in Bali in 2002.

The truth about martyrs

"Either we become martyrs or we defeat Bashar al-Assad" - Do you actually know what a martyr is? In it's modern sense, I mean? It's a suicide bomber. Really.

Think big picture

To Tony from Sydney - do you really think it's just Dateline? Why don't you check with Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, Red Crescent, UN, the ARAB LEAGUE and news outlets around the world to see if there's a problem. Why won't the Syrian govt issue visas to journalists if they want balanced reporting? And why does it obstruct Arab League observers. Unhappy with the way Australia is run? Since you think Syria is safe maybe you should go there. The govt will grant you a visa
