Why do you always compare yourself to China and India?

I was vert shocked to hear the reporter say that there is no use in trying for renewabl energy because China and Inda are not doing anything! It seems to be a popular reference as I hear this comment a lot. How ignorant of the rest of the world! Germany for example has been environmentally aware for decades now, and we get all the winds from Northern America carrying its pollution. We are also bordring on France which is full of Nuclear Pow Stations. but we still try.

green energy ...

Intresting comments about how "experts" suggest that PV power will destroy the grid. I am sure these studies were paid for by trully independant bodies with nothing to gain from people not taking up green energy options. Fact: existing major power companys in australia will spend $100 million dollars in the next decade updating and replacing networks and equipment and they willhave NO problems passingthat cost onto its customers, not to mention the increase the carbon tax will add...... go green

Total SBS LIES & Propaganda

Once again SBS performs the role of ACTIVIST, promoting the standard distortions of the Eco-Fantasy of Renewables. The "Off the Grid" claim is IMPOSSIBLE, because of insufficient baseload power. So at night or in low wind, if this town connected Coal, can only reduce Co2 by approx 4% (Less is you consider Co2 in manufacture and up to 9% Loss from long transmission back to the grid). Only large public subsidies allows the credit for Solar & Wind power, as it intermittently drips into the grid.
