AMERICAN MILITARY SUICIDES - STRESSED OUT
Your story was a distortion. It was apparently about Afghan and Iraq war veterans as featured in the report. The implication was they were suiciding at the rate of one every 80 minutes or 6500 a year. The facts are a) the suicide rate among SERVING military is about 360 a year and b) and that among ALL veterans going back to WW2 is several thousand. Many were nothing to do with PTSD, but personal problems - money, finance, relationships etc. Lazy journalism does not equate with objectivity.

US Iraq/Afghanistan veterans
Can your claim that a member of the US armed forces is MORE LIKELY to lose his or her life by returning home than remaining in Iraq or Afghanistan really be correct? And that the current ANNUAL rate of suicides is now more than the total US death toll since it got directly involved 11 years ago? That is the implication of your story. Surely that cannot be so. Otherwise the outrage far beyond America's borders would still be reverberating today. Suggest check your figures again.

US military suicides
Your claim that more than 6500 American servicemen are committing suicide each year is startling. That's 18 a day whereas an official report last month said the suicide figure was just ONE a day. How can such a wide gap between the claims be explained??

PTSD: The Signature Wound of our war in Afghanistan
PTSD is an an affliction that kills. The suicide statistics are overwhelming, but the untold cost to "survivors" with PTSD, their families and loved-ones is alarming. We owe these brave warriors access to "proper" treatment. Unfortunately, the V.A. is overwhelmed and under-staffed to deal with the problem. Coverage like this increases public awareness, but we ungently need to come up with a coherent plan to deal with this problem which is rapidly become an epidemic. A tragedy in the making.

PTSD
Anyone asking how the civilians on the receiving end of bullets and bombs cope? As I recall from 1945-46 we rebuild from the rubble and devastation and got on with it. There is $83 million set aside for 2014 to glorify 'The War To End All Wars'. I'm sure there'll be some left over to treat these damaged individuals and for Legacy so the latter does not have to send out begging letters.

If the New World Order's war was just, they would not encounter 6500 soldier suicides a year...
It was narrated that Jaabir ibn Abd-Allaah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: I have been given five things that were not given to any of the Prophets before me: I have been supported with fear (cast into the hearts of my enemies) for a distance of one month's travel...al-Bukhaari (427) and Muslim (421). The answer is simple, there is no victory fighting wars against Muslims. These poor soldiers are the evidence of the West's ignorance.
