The Queen of Versailles
Acclaimed photographer Lauren Greenfield’s documentary The Queen of Versailles is a must-see portrait of two of North America’s richest people building the largest, most expensive house in the USA. The film captures a dramatic downturn in the couple’s fortunes as they weather the GFC. As the protagonist himself states in interview, “You’ve captured a riches to rags story”. This could very well be the tagline for the film.
In new developments, one the eve of film’s release in the USA, the same protagonist is reportedly suing Greenfield for defamation.
