Damien Echols releases memoir
Damien Echols, one of the three teenagers known as the West Memphis Three, who was tried and convicted of the brutal murder of three young boys in 1994 and released 17 years later, has released a memoir, Life After Death.
Echols was documented in three feature-length films by Joe Berlinger and Bruce Sinofsky and also in Amy Berg's recent documentary West of Memphis, produced by Peter Jackson. Echols discusses his new book in this New York Times interview.
