A reminder to Sydneysiders, there are new documentaries to be seen at the first Cockatoo Island Film Festival from today (October 24) through to Sunday, October 28.

Key titles include the slyly witty James Bond chronicle Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007, Super Size Me director Morgan Spurlock’s self-explanatory Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope and a reprise of the recently-concluded Antenna Documentary Festival closing night feature Call Me Kuchu.

Just added: The Ringmaster General, a documentary on the making of Dave Stewart’s new album.

There are 10 feature-length non-fiction films in a special competition section, with a jury comprised of documentary filmmaker Jennifer Peedom, Go Back to Where You Came From director Ivan O’Mahoney and non-fiction writer-director Stephen Oliver.

Program information for the Cockatoo Island Film Festival is here, and transport options are here.
