The Eurovision Song Contest is the Olympics of the entertainment industry. In two x one-hour parts, The Road to Eurovision with Julia Zemiro takes us on a road trip to the heart and soul of the biggest song contest in the world. Travelling across Europe in her campervan, Julia introduces us to the to the host city for 2012, Baku, in the mysterious Azerbaijan. She previews the entries, interviews performers past and present, unearths the best archive and reflects on how Eurovision has changed since it started in 1956, and asks – what is it that makes a Eurovision winner?
