Goddammit!: Systad Jacobsen wins Norway's best film award

Norwegian features from Oslo-based production company Motlys AS, headed by Norwegian producer Sigve Endresen, received six Amandas – Norway’s national film prizes – at the awards ceremony on Friday (August 17) prior to the Norwegian International Film Festival at Haugesund’s Festiviteten Hall.

Two were awarded for Jannicke Systad Jacobsen’s Turn Me On, Goddammit!, which won for Best Feature (and Best Cinematography), two for Joachim Trier’s Oslo, August 31st (Best Director, Best Editing), and two for Arild Andresen’s The Orheim Company (Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress).

Pål Sletaune’s psychological thriller, Babycall, which had nominations for nine Amandas, cashed in on four, including Best Actress – Sweden’s Noomi Rapace, who plays an over-protective mother, whose babycall is activated from other apartments in the block, and one day she overhears what she thinks is the murder of a child.
