Synopsis: The painter Homero (Sergi Mateu) struggles with the prospect of becoming totally blind after he is diagnosed with a rare degenerative eye condition. He attempts to find value in what's left of his life without his art. Meanwhile, Mei (Marisol Centeno), whose hooker mother has taken off with a truckie to look for work north of the border, leaving her to look after her grandparents, is working as a maid at the local brothel and grappling with her own existential crisis. Mei is ultimately pressured to prostitute herself. However, her first client turns out to be Homero, who instead of sleeping with her, paints Mei red, the only colour he is still able to see, in order to gaze upon a beautiful woman for the last time, before he loses his sight completely.
