The Incredibles
Makes the family unit cool again.
The Incredibles is the latest from the Pixar animation studios - home of Toy Story, Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo - written and directed by Brad Bird, who also made the animated feature The Iron Giant.
Pixar always seems to put the right foot forward. The Incredibles is so beautifully conceived that you know it can't help but succeed. This cartoon tale of a disenfranchised super hero family harks back to the brilliance of 60's animation whilst completely utilizing the frontier of CGI.
It brings new life to the tired costumed crime fighter routine, and director Bird manages to humanise his characters to such an extent, that the family unit can be deemed cool again.
