Fantastic article. The article and photographs are superb and certainly tantalize the taste-buds. Brings back memories of trips to Europe.Betolla-Betolla at Romauld's store is definitely going on my bucket list.

An incredible tale!
This is an interesting story, and takes me far away from dowdy old Brisbane into the immense culture and amazing food of Europe. I think I'll start planning my next trip now...

Not your average ham!
The quality of the writing and the superb pictures makes you feel like you should be able to just reach out and take the morsel from the tweezers! Yet another thing to add to my "one day I'll..." list. Thank you for enlightening the rest of us.

Yes Please!
I so wish we had a delicatessan like this in Ipswich - the writing transported me to France so much so that I could actually taste ham on my tongue! And then the photos had me sitting at the table with my knife and fork at the ready. Thank you for my heavenly journey.

bellota = acorn
Maybe everybody knows that the spanish "bellota" is the english acorn, and "ghianda" in italian; supreme food for the pigs!
